General Motors and Honda Unite To Create Batteries for Electric Vehicles

United States automaker General Motors Co. collaborated with Honda Motor Co., of Japan and agreed on creating batteries for electric vehicles. This agreement is majorly for the North American Market. It was affirmed from both sides that the organizations will team up on the basis of GM's next-generation battery system. That will enable the two organizations to continue keeping top notch products, while saving money on costs for clients, they confirmed. Tokyo-based Honda and Detroit-based GM as of now cooperate on fuel cell vehicles, which are zero-discharge and keep running on the power made when hydrogen fuel couples with oxygen in the air to produce water. They have a joint venture of manufacturing to create a hydrogen fuel cell system in 2020, including attempting to make fuel cells and storage of hydrogen more reasonable.

Both of the organizations have electric vehicles in their model lineup. There is developing pressure on automakers to choose more eco-friendly alternatives and additionally create other technology for vehicles, for example, semi-autonomous driving.
