426 Cases Of Ebola Reported Has Been Reported In Kinshasa Making It The Second Biggest Outbreak Ever

The Health Ministry of Kinshasa has declared that there have be almost 426 cases of Ebola reported. The Ebola outbreak in Kinshasa region of Democratic Republic of Congo is being regarded as the second biggest Ebola outbreak in the world. The biggest outbreak of Ebola was held in from the year 2013 to 2016 in the West African region consisting of 28,000 cases of Ebola being reported. The recent outbreak of Kinshasa has left behind the second biggest outbreak of Uganda with 425 cases in the 2000 and has taken its place. There were 245 deaths in the region of North Kivu and Ituri Province caused by Ebola. The virus of the deadly disease was discovered a long time back in the year 1976 and has been affecting Congo region ever since by causing almost 10 outbreaks. The disease results in severe vomiting, bleeding and diarrhea by affecting the fluids within the body and develops hemorrhagic fever, the disease as regarded deadly because more than half of the people diagnosed die. Senior Director at the Emergency Health situated at the International Rescue Committee, Michelle Gayer stated that Kinshasa taking over the second place depicts the harsh conditions within the region and the rate of severity of the people suffering, it will be very tough fighting Ebola regarding the population effected.
